Accountability
Editorial Standards & Corrections
Original reporting
The Connect Sport prioritizes reporting from our games, interviews, film analysis and photography. We do not copy third-party recaps, publish lightly rewritten releases or invent quotes, statistics or reporting.
Verification and attribution
Names, schedules, scores and statistics should be checked against official team or CIF sources or MaxPreps, with credit and direct links where appropriate. Verification does not permit scraping feeds or reproducing another publisher’s graphics.
Bylines and credits
Stories identify their writers and publication dates. Photography, footage and external sources receive credit. Missing reporting and unverified material remain in drafts.
Editorial independence
Paid promotions are labeled. Membership includes access and submission benefits, not control over our newsroom’s selections, reporting or conclusions.
Corrections
Send the story link, the information you believe is incorrect and supporting evidence to info@theconnectsport.com. Our editors review reports and identify substantive corrections when a story is updated.
